Although I have been missing Thailand like crazy, we have had some good times since returning from our wonderful spring break. Here are some highlights from the last few weeks! (Mostly pictures, not much rambling!)
Getting psyched for Easter!
AKA-we forced ourselves to go shopping as we tried to fight off the jet lag |
Dominic loves giving Julia "besos" (spanish for "kisses"). (for those that don't know, I tend Julia 4 days/week. Dominic loves her) I think this is just precious! |
Dominic loves driving. I'm already afraid for his teenage years.
Love this picture!
Easter has traditionally been a family holiday for me. However, with hundreds and hundreds of miles between us and our nearest family members, we headed up to Boston to visit some close friends.
Saturday we took a short road trip to Rhode Island and did some rock climbing.
This is Michael slaying a V7. |
Dominic continues to get a kick out of rock climbing |
And we continue to get a kick out of his enthusiam |
Making Faces.
(Dominic is becoming really expressive.) |
We let Dominic help us dye some Easter eggs...
Tossing the egg in the dye (literally "tossing") |
He was enjoying dunking the eggs in the dye |
Then we waited |
...and waited |
...Checking the eggs |
...Dominic was eager to play with the dyed eggs |
Excited to see the final products |
Tah-Da! The eggs are finished!
He loved this part of Easter! |
Dominic and I have been enjoying our spring ride!
We took a trip to New York recently where we got to visit Central Park and the MOMA.
Reliving the moment
(If you don't know what I'm referring to, see my post "I left my heart in Thailand part 1) |
Guess who learned to operate the blow dryer recently? He loves the wind in his hair!
We got together with a huge group of Yalies to watch the Yale Hockey team compete in the NCAA Hockey Championship. And Yale won! They beat Quinnipiac University which is located about 7 miles down the road from us.
We had a great time cheering them on! |
We attended New Haven's 40th annual Cherry Bossom Festival this weekend. sadly, this was the only tree in bloom out of nearly 100 trees in the park. We enjoyed live music and an array of fun activities.
The Business school hosted a Holi celebration.

This picture was taken at last year's Holi celebration. Look how much Dominic has grown!!! (and his friend Mikaal) |
Dominic and I have been trying to play outside a lot! He is getting really good at going down the slide by himself!
I am proud of him for learning to go down the slide by himself. It might not seem like much, but he is the youngest kid on the playground that can do it alone. #proudmomma
We had friends come down from Boston this weekend to visit and explore the Yale Campus. We rode around campus on bicycles. The trees are finally blooming around New Haven, making for a beautiful ride.
This weekend we also attended an acoustic music festival. Michael played a few songs on his guitar, others sang and even danced. It was great.

Dominic getting a ride on Rodney (the business school's unofficial mascot) while enjoying the music |
Dominic learning to play the Uke. |
Learning to ride Todd's longboard |
On your mark, get set, go!
Racing his friend Mikaal |
I hope you have all had a wonderful April! We are looking forward to Michael's graduation in May! (And some warmer weather!)
Hugs,
Jodi, Dominic, and Michael
